Mezrab is a Persian word and refers to the plectrum that is used to play string instruments. In its essence, Mezrab is an enabler that helps produce various melodies. Family planning offers a hopeful solution and value-for-money because it impacts nearly all the SDGs, including reduction in maternal and child mortality, reduction of poverty, increasing education, promotion of gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
Mezrab employs a blended financing approach to maximize the social impact of its initiatives. The financing is a mix of service income charged at the Mezrab clinics, private corporate CSR funding, and investments from donors/ impact investors. All the proceeds from Mezrab service income are reinvested to further the social objectives of the organization.
Mezrab strive to achieve sustainability within 2-4 years of starting a donor funded initiative. The dynamic outlook to managing donor funds coupled with the discipline to become self-sustainable is at the heart of our social programing.
